FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Fine Foods Marketing Ltd was incorporated in 2003, following the management buyout of the chilled and frozen division of a conglomerate which was making recurrent losses and was viewed as a blemish on the portfolio of the conglomerate. Mario Gébert pioneered the takeover with courage, in the face of adversity and initiated the turnaround.

LEARNING TO WALK

Believing in the potential of the product range, which was initially viewed as pure commodity, the founder set out to buy out the entity. No one at that time would have bet a single cent on the success of that venture, given its past track record, the prevailing competitive rivalry within the industry, the high bargaining power of both suppliers & customers & the more than limited scope to turn around the entity. Passion, vision, leadership & sheer hard work, applied to the new appropriate business model, driven by an entrepreneur’s will to win, proved the contrary. Fine Foods Marketing Ltd became a profitable entity after only the first year of operation.

THE WAY FORWARD

Today, determination, passion, learning-while-doing, perseverance & positive attitude have become part of the company culture. Our achievement has been recognised both locally & internationally. We are now on our way, guided by our vision, to become the smartest food purveyor.
