Prawns in Garlic butter

This is by far our favourite way to cook prawns! Juicy, buttery and full of garlic, what more could you ask for. We use our very own Captain Hook Large prawns.

This meal goes with just about anything. It can be served with rice and lentils, or even DAT-Schaub french fries.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of large Captain Hook prawns
  • 2 packs of 100gms Kerrygold garlic butter
  • Olitalia olive oil
  • 1 fresh lemon
  • A little rum
  • A bunch of freshly chopped coriander
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Clean and marinate Captain Hook prawns with salt, pepper and fresh lemon juice
  • Add the Kerrygold garlic butter into a hot pan
  • Add a bit of Olitalia olive oil to prevent the butter from burning
  • SautĂ© the prawns for 5 minutes
  • When the prawns turn pink, add the chopped coriander
  • FlambĂ© with a little rum
  • Add a little extra lemon juice
  • TASTE AND ENJOY YOUR MEAL!
